Fall In Love With Self-Love

One of the hardest things for us as people to do is to fall in love with who we are. We often feel worthless, not deserving of love, or deserving of anything, and we often overthink compliments. I want you to know that you are worth it, you are deserving of love, and so much more.

You do not need anyone’s approval to be yourself and love who you are. You don’t need anyone’s compliments and affection, all you need is you to be enough. You’re allowed to hold on to the truth that you are enough. And you’re allowed to remove anyone from your life that makes you feel otherwise.

When people abandon, reject, or judge you, it really isn’t about you, it’s about them and their own insecurities and needs, and you don’t need to feel embodied by it. Never let anyone tell you that you are less than you are. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord. He knows your worth but he wants you to see it too and love yourself as he does.

The Bible says to obey God we have to love ourselves first. “And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”  Mark 12:31. This verse says we need to love our neighbors as ourselves but if you don’t love yourself you have no love to give away to others.

I encourage you to share your opinions, how you’re feeling, what you need to take the next step, and feel free to reach out to me or anyone you feel like you can trust. If you found this post helpful let’s share it and help some others. Feel free to let me know if you think I could have done better and give me your opinions. Next, we’ll discuss self care. Thank you for reading!
